However now the Confederation challenges the GA and seeks the end of the Galactic Alliance's domination of the Galaxy. Galactic Alliance: Formed from the remains of the New Republic during the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Galactic Alliance till recently was the galaxy sole major super power. Both powers are readying for the next engagement, while the people of the Galaxy are left wondering how this war will turn out. Already the two powers have clashed at the Battle of Gilatter VIII.
Several systems have left the Galactic Alliance and formed the Confederation. What began as a rebellion by the Five Worlds government has transformed into a Second Galactic Civil War.
